While Blogatog might lead us to believe that silver-bordered sets have a wide audience, I have a simple piece of (admittedly anecdotal) evidence to suggest the contrary: I Have Never Seen a Silver-Bordered Card in Play I've been playing since 1995 or so, and despite being an active Magic player in middle school, when Unglued came out, I have never bought a single pack of silver-bordered cards
Lorwyn Eclipsed, the first Magic: The Gathering set to be released in 2026 will come with two new commander precons
The fact that this does nothing when sacrificing tokens is the biggest drawback for me
In the Commander format, I see its weakness mainly in that it can best shine against mono-blue decks that have little creature destruction and because of its no-counter ability
Finally, for stores where people are able to safely gatherand we know for some that may not come for a whileanyone who participates in a Love Your Local Game Store event is eligible to receive an art print from the store, while supplies last
